What are our teeth made up of? The outer tooth layer is made up mainly of mineral ions such as calcium, phosphate and some fluoride. 5. Reduce the alcohol intake. Alcohol erodes the enamel on the outside of your teeth, leading to erosion and risk of dental decay.
6. Cut the smoking! This increases your risk of gum disease, breathing problems and lung cancer.
7. Get a whiter smile. Cut down on coffee, tea, smoking, wine as these cause stains on your teeth.
8. Go for your regular dental checkup every 6 months.
